AuditDraw is a secure, independent, third-party lottery processing service built for housing departments and agencies. You upload your list of applicants, choose when the lottery should run, and AuditDraw takes care of the rest: every entry is drawn individually on a dedicated, sealed server with no internet access, and you receive a complete, independently verifiable results package when it finishes.

This guide walks you through everything a new account owner needs, in the order you will need it. You do not need any special technical skills. If you can use email and a web browser, you can run a lottery with AuditDraw.

How AuditDraw works at a glance

Every lottery follows the same simple path from start to finish:

What you will need

  • Your login email address. This is the email address your account was approved under. All sign-in codes and account emails go there.
  • A modern web browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari, on a computer. Everything happens at auditdraw.com. There is nothing to install.
  • Your applicant list as a spreadsheet. Chapter 3 explains exactly how to prepare it.
  • A payment card for invoices, or the person on your team who handles payments (Chapters 4 and 6 cover this).

Your first-week checklist

You can complete these at your own pace. Each item points to the chapter that walks you through it.

  • [ ] Log in for the first time (Chapter 1)
  • [ ] Invite the team members who will help you, if your account is a team account (Chapter 2)
  • [ ] Prepare an applicant file and run your first lottery (Chapter 3)
  • [ ] Download your results and certificate (Chapter 3)
  • [ ] Pay your first invoice (Chapter 4)
  • [ ] Try verifying your certificate in the public registry (Chapter 5)
  • [ ] Set a password you will remember, and add any extra billing email addresses (Chapter 6)

Tip: Keep this guide handy. Chapters 7 through 10 cover the less common tasks (managing team member access, advanced lottery options, and how to reach us), so you can return to them when the need comes up.

A note on the words we use

  • A lottery is one complete drawing: one applicant file, one run, one set of results.
  • An applicant file is the spreadsheet you upload, with one row per applicant.
  • Your account is your organization's home at AuditDraw. The people you invite into it are team members (we also say users).
  • The Account Center is the signed-in area of the website where everything happens: your dashboard, lotteries, documents, payments, and settings.
